The Day WoW Died

September 10th, 2009

It’s official. My World of Warcraft account has been cancelled. What happened? Aion happened.

wow-cancelledWell, not just a new game in town. The friends I was playing with were doing the endless repetitive daily quests on their mains day after day while I was trying to level another character. This was made extremely frustrating by the fact that I couldn’t get into some of the content in the game because of technical issues. I lived with the dreaded “Additional instances can not be launched. Please try again later” error message. Expect a few comics at WoW’s expense…

It was fun while it lasted, except for the last couple of months. My biggest regret is that I didn’t role Horde from the very beginning.

Oh, I can totally relate to the whole “additional instances cannot be launched” crap. Although I think they recently fixed that problem to where it’s at least a little better. I’ve cancelled my WoW account at least five times, but I keep going back to it. I have no idea why. Maybe they plant subliminal messages in the loading screens….hmmm…

Love your comic, by the way. :)
